Australia

Australia is the largest island and the smallest cintinent in the world,and this country is the sixth largest in the world. The name ‘’Australia’’ was derived from the Latin word australis, which means in the translation of the word ‘’from the south’’. Australia is the only continent without an active volcano.

Australia’s capital city is Canberra. It is the largest city in the interior of Australia and the eighth largest city in Australia.

 

The largest cities are Sydney,Melbourne,Brisbane,Perth and Adelaide,home to most of Australia’s inhabitans.

 Sydeney is the largest,most populated,oldest and most expensive city in Australia. The area of today’s Sydney was once inhabited by the Aborigines. Today the Aborigines are called pagan and other continents. The first European who came to the soil of Australia and Sydney was James Cook. The city was founded eighteen years later by the British admiral Arthur Phillip. The most popular summer sport in Sydney is cricket. English is the official language,but the streets are equally authentic Mandarin,Cantonese,Greek,Vietnamese and Arabic. Sydney is otherwise a city of immigrants. On the list of the most expensive cities in the world,Sydney ranks 12th.

 

Kangaroo and Emu have been chosen as symbols on the Australian coat of arms because they can’t go backwards,symbolizing people moving forward.

Australia is a country of kangaroos,and the data says they are more than just people now. In this country,there are 10 times more chimps than koala. It is interesting that this country exports camels to Saudi Arabia. The city of Docker River was attacked once by the 6,000 camels that came here in search of water.

In Australia,there is a bookstore in which books are wrapped in paper with an inscription that they shouldn’t be judged by the covers.

Australia has more than 10,000 beaches . If you would visit one day each day,you should be full 27 years to visit them all.

An unusual lake of pink pink is found on the Middle Island,the largest in the Recherche Archipelago in western Australia. It looks like a giant lollipop from the air,and therefore it is an attraction for airplane passengers who are in charge of it.

BELGIUM

 

Belgium, officially the kingdom of Belgium, is a country in Western Europe bordered by France, the Netherlands, Germany and Luxemburg. It covers an area of 30258 miles and has a population of more than 11,4 milion.

The capital and largest city is Brussels. Other major cities are Autwerp, Ghent, Charleoi and Liege. Official langugages are Dutch, French and German. Belgium is one of the six founding countries of the European Union, the Council of the European Union, and the European Council as well as a seat of the European Parliament in the country”s capital, Brussels. Belgium is a developed country with an advanced high-income economy. It also ranks as one of the safest or most peaceful countries in the world. The name “ Belgium” is derived from Gallia Belgica, a Roman province in the northernmost part of Gaul. Belgium has three main geographical regious: the coastal plain in the northwest and the central plateau both belong  to the Anglo-Belgian Basin, and the central plateau both belong to the Ardennes uplands in the southeast to the Hercynian orogenic belt. The Mense river is the largest river to pass through Belgium. It stretches for 575 miles across France, Belgium and the Netherlands. The biggest lake in Belgium is Lake Eau d’Heure.

The climate is maritime temperate with significant precipitation  in all seasons , like most of northwest Europe.

The king Philippe is the head of state, though with limited prerogatives.

The literature inclides Flemish and French literature. The most famous medieval writers are Filip de Comin and Jean Froasar. The most famous fo the 19th century are Charles de Kostor, Emil Verheren and Hendrik Couscieus.

Folklore plays a major role in Belgium’s cultural life.

Belgium is famous for beer, chocolate, waffles and French fries with mayonnaise.

Brasil

Brazil is the largest coutry in both South America and Latin America. At 8.5 million square kilometers and with over 208 million people, Brazil is the world's fifth-largest country by area and the sixth most populous. The capital is Brasília, and the most populated city is São Paulo.

Some of the earliest human remains found in the Americas, Luzia Woman, were found in the area of Pedro Leopoldo, Minas Gerais and provide evidence of human habitation going back at least 11,000 years.

Some of the most famous dishes in Brazil are: Barbecued meat, Moqueca, Brigadeiros, Acai and many others.

The core culture of Brazil is derived from Portuguese culture, because of its strong colonial ties with the Portuguese Empire. Among other influences, the Portuguese introduced the Portuguese language, Roman Catholicism and colonial architectural styles.

The music of Brazil was formed mainly from the fusion of European and African elements. Until the nineteenth century, Portugal was the gateway to most of the influences that built Brazilian music, although many of these elements were not of Portuguese origin, but generally European.

Tourism in Brazil is a growing sector and key to the economy of several regions of the country. The country had 6.36 million visitors in 2015, ranking in terms of the international tourist .

COLOMBIA

The geography of Colombia is characterized by its six main natural regions that present their own unique characteristics, from the Andes mountain range region shared with Ecuador and Venezuela; the Pacific coastal region shared with Panama and Ecuador; the Caribbean coastal region shared with Venezuela and Panama; the Llanos (plains) shared with Venezuela; the Amazon Rainforest region shared with Venezuela, Brazil, Peru and Ecuador; to the insular area, comprising islands in both the Atlantic and Pacific oceans.

 

Colombia is bordered to the northwest by Panama; to the east by Venezuela and Brazil; to the south by Ecuador and Peru;[11] it established its maritime boundaries with neighboring countries through seven agreements on the Caribbean Sea and three on the Pacific Ocean.[12] It lies between latitudes 12°N and 4°S, and longitudes 67° and 79°W.

 

Culture

 

Colombia lies at the crossroads of Latin America and the broader American continent, and as such has been hit by a wide range of cultural influences. Native American, Spanish and other European, African, American, Caribbean, and Middle Eastern influences, as well as other Latin American cultural influences, are all present in Colombia's modern culture. Urban migration, industrialization, globalization, and other political, social and economic changes have also left an impression.

 

Many national symbols, both objects and themes, have arisen from Colombia's diverse cultural traditions and aim to represent what Colombia, and the Colombian people, have in common. Cultural expressions in Colombia are promoted by the government through the Ministry of Culture.

Literature

 

Colombian literature dates back to pre-Columbian era; a notable example of the period is the epic poem known as the Legend of Yurupary. In Spanish colonial times, notable writers include Juan de Castellanos (Elegías de varones ilustres de Indias), Hernando Domínguez Camargo and his epic poem to San Ignacio de Loyola, Pedro Simón, Juan Rodríguez Freyle (El Carnero), Lucas Fernández de Piedrahita, and the nun Francisca Josefa de Castillo, representative of mysticism.

led by Nobel laureate Gabriel García Márquez and his magnum opus, One Hundred Years of Solitude, Eduardo Caballero Calderón, Manuel Mejía Vallejo, and Álvaro Mutis, a writer who was awarded the Cervantes Prize and the Prince of Asturias Award for Letters. Other leading contemporary authors are Fernando Vallejo, William Ospina (Rómulo Gallegos Prize) and Germán Castro Caycedo.

 

Gabriel José de la Concordia García Márquez (6 March 1927 – 17 April 2014) was a Colombian novelist, short-story writer, screenwriter and journalist, known affectionately as Gabo  or Gabito  throughout Latin America. Considered one of the most significant authors of the 20th century and one of the best in the Spanish language, he was awarded the 1972 Neustadt International Prize for Literature and the 1982 Nobel Prize in Literature. He pursued a self-directed education that resulted in his leaving law school for a career in journalism. From early on, he showed no inhibitions in his criticism of Colombian and foreign politics. In 1958, he married Mercedes Barcha; they had two sons, Rodrigo and Gonzalo.

Religion

 

The National Administrative Department of Statistics (DANE) does not collect religious statistics, and accurate reports are difficult to obtain. However, based on various studies and a survey, about 90% of the population adheres to Christianity, the majority of which (70.9%-79%) are Roman Catholic, while a significant minority (16.7%) adhere to Protestantism (primarily Evangelicalism). Some 4.7% of the population is atheist or agnostic, while 3.5% claim to believe in God but do not follow a specific religion. 1.8% of Colombians adhere to Jehovah's Witnesses and Adventism and less than 1% adhere to other religions, such as Islam, Judaism, Buddhism, Mormonism, Hinduism, Indigenous religions, Hare Krishna movement, Rastafari movement, Orthodox Catholic Church, and spiritual studies. The remaining people either did not respond or replied that they did not know. In addition to the above statistics, 35.9% of Colombians reported that they did not practice their faith actively.

Italy

Norway, officially the Kingdom of Norway, is a Nordic country in Northwestern Europe whose core territory comprises the western and northernmost portion of the Scandinavian Peninsula.

Among tourists to Norway, more come from Germany than from any other country. There are also many Swedes, Danes, British, Dutch and Italians visiting Norway. The Swedes and Danes often come in winter to go skiing. The others mainly come in summer. Many people visit Norway to see the Northern Lights, also known as the 'Aurora Borealis'.

Items from the Viking Age (in Norway), are shown in museums: One item is the Gokstand ship.

The Viking Ship Museum  is located at  Oslo,  it is part of the Museum of Cultural History of the University of Oslo.                         

 

Museums in Norway includes The Ibsen Museum- named after Henrik Ibsen.The Ibsen Museum  occupies the last homeof the playwright Henrik Ibsen. It is located close to the Royal Palace on Henrik Ibsens gate in Oslo.

 The cities with the most people living there are Oslo.    

Norwegian cuisine in its traditional form is based largely on the raw materials readily available in Norway and its mountains, wilderness, and coast. It differs in many respects from its continental counterparts with a stronger focus on game(quarry) and fish.

 

Much has been learned about early music in Norway from physical artifacts found during archaeological digs. These include instruments such as the lur.

                                                 

Traditional dances are normally referred to as bygdedans (village or regional dance). These dances, sometimes called "courting dances" were often connected to the important events of rural (farming) life: weddings, funerals and cyclical feasts like Christmas.
